Overlandico – Shipping, Delivery, Returns, Warranty & Legal Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for purchasing, shipping, installing, returning, and using Overlandico aluminum truck bed toppers. By placing an order through overlandico.com, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1. Shipping Policy

Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after purchase confirmation.

Shipping Method

Due to the size and weight of Overlandico toppers, all products are shipped via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers.

Delivery Time

Estimated delivery time is 5–8 business days after shipment. Delivery times may vary depending on destination, freight carrier schedules, weather, and other logistical factors.

2. Freight Delivery Requirements

Freight shipments differ from standard parcel deliveries.

  • A delivery appointment may be required by the freight carrier.
  • The customer must be available to receive and inspect the shipment.
  • Customers must ensure the delivery location is accessible for a freight truck.

Limited Access Locations

Certain locations may not be accessible to freight trucks, including:

  • narrow residential streets
  • rural or mountain locations
  • gated communities
  • restricted commercial zones

If the carrier determines the delivery location is not accessible, the shipment may be delivered to the nearest freight terminal, and the customer will be responsible for picking up the shipment from that facility.

Any additional delivery services or special access charges imposed by the freight carrier are the responsibility of the customer.

3. Delivery Inspection & Freight Damage

Customers must inspect the shipment at the time of delivery.

If damage is visible:

  • 1. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before signing.
  • 2. Take photos of the packaging and damaged areas.
  • 3. Contact Overlandico within 24 hours of delivery.

Failure to report freight damage within this timeframe may result in denial of a freight claim.

Customers should retain all packaging materials until the inspection process is completed.

4. Returns Policy

Because Overlandico toppers are large freight items, returns are limited.

Returns are accepted only if the product has NOT been assembled, installed, modified, or used.

Return conditions:

  • Return request must be submitted within 10 days of delivery
  • Product must remain unassembled
  • Product must be in original packaging
  • All hardware and parts must be included

Returns will not be accepted if the product:

  • has been assembled or partially assembled
  • has been installed on a a vehicle
  • shows signs of use or modification
  • was customized or special order

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return freight shipping.

Because toppers ship via LTL freight, return shipping costs may be significant.

Products must be securely packaged for freight transport. Overlandico is not responsible for damage occurring during return shipment.

6. Restocking Fee

All approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee based on the product purchase price.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

7. Refunds

Once the returned product is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • The 10% restocking fee will be deducted
  • Original shipping charges are not refundable

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

8. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only before shipment.

If the order has already shipped, it will fall under the standard return policy, including return freight charges and restocking fees.

9. Refused Shipments & Failed Delivery

If a customer refuses delivery of a shipment that is not damaged, the shipment will be treated as a return.

The customer will be responsible for:

  • original shipping charges
  • return freight costs
  • 10% restocking fee

Freight carriers may charge redelivery, appointment, or storage fees if delivery cannot be completed due to:

  • customer unavailable
  • incorrect address
  • inaccessible delivery location
  • failure to schedule delivery

Any such fees are the responsibility of the customer.

10. Parts Verification Policy

Customers must verify all parts and hardware before beginning assembly.

Upon receiving the shipment, customers should:

  • open all boxes and packaging
  • verify all panels and hardware kits
  • review the parts list included in the instructions

Missing parts must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Beginning assembly confirms that the customer has verified and accepted all included components.

Claims for missing parts may not be accepted after assembly has begun.

11. Installation Policy

Overlandico toppers are designed for DIY or professional installation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • proper installation according to instructions
  • compatibility with their vehicle
  • correct mounting and hardware use

Overlandico is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • improper installation
  • incorrect hardware use
  • installation on incompatible vehicles
  • product modifications

12. Product Use & Load Responsibility

Overlandico toppers are intended for:

  • cargo protection
  • recreational overland travel
  • camping setups

Customers must follow safe loading practices.

Products are not intended for:

  • excessive commercial loads
  • extreme impact or sport activities
  • structural support for heavy equipment
  • standing or climbing on unsupported panels

Improper use or overloading may result in damage and void warranty coverage.

13. Modification Policy

Drilling, cutting, welding, or modifying the topper structure or mounting system may:

  • void warranty coverage
  • void return eligibility
  • compromise structural safety

14. Limited Warranty

Overlandico toppers include a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

  • physical damage
  • improper installation
  • overload or excessive weight
  • professional or commercial extreme use
  • sport or high-impact activities
  • accidents or collisions
  • product modifications
  • normal wear and tear

Proof of purchase and photos may be required for warranty claims.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Overlandico shall not be liable for indirect, incidental,or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • vehicle damage
  • cargo loss
  • personal injury
  • property damage
  • loss of use of vehicle
  • loss of business or profits

Overlandico’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product

16. Chargeback & Payment Dispute Policy

Customers agree to contact Overlandico directly to resolve any order issues before initiating a credit card chargeback or payment dispute.

Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution may delay order processing and may require submission of documentation proving delivery, product condition, and policy acceptance.

Overlandico reserves the right to dispute fraudulent chargebacks with supporting documentation including shipping confirmation, delivery records, and policy acceptance.

17. Force Majeure

Overlandico shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters
  • severe weather
  • freight carrier disruptions
  • supply chain shortages
  • labor strikes
  • government actions or regulations

Such events may delay production, shipping, or delivery schedules.

18. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

19. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the purchase or use of Overlandico products shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Colorado, unless otherwise required by law.
